Background on the TE Supplement
The TE Supplement was developed by a committee
consisting of representatives from Daimler Chrysler,
Ford, General Motors and members of the tooling
and equipment industry. This committee was guided
by the Daimler Chrysler, Ford, General Motors
Supplier Quality Requirements Task Force.
The TE Supplement defines the fundamental quality
system expectations of Daimler Chrysler, Ford,
General Motors and other subscribing companies
for suppliers of tooling and equipment.

Who are these requirements for?
The TE Supplement applies to manufactures
of machinery and machine components. Machinery
and machine components consist of tooling and
equipment to perform processes such as:

quality systems that provide for continuous improvement,
defect prevention, and the reduction of variation
and waste in the supply chain.
